You will help ensure parts and supplier materials are available and meet specifications so manufacturing can run without interruption. You will work closely with manufacturing operations, suppliers, and quality leadership in an onsite, first-shift, 5x8 days environment to resolve nonconformances, validate corrective actions, and support continuous improvement.
Here's How You'll Make an Impact on the Team
- Monitor inbound supplier products and in-process parts for nonconformances, documentation gaps, shipping issues, and other disruptions
- Manage and resolve day-to-day supplier and internal product discrepancies to maintain part availability for Manufacturing Operations
- Communicate directly with suppliers to investigate and resolve quality or paperwork issues
- Support nonconforming parts process and containment of product upon receipt or in process
- Assist in validating supplier and internal corrective actions and review First Article Inspections, PPAPs, and other quality documentation
- Coordinate internal and external activities related to customer returned goods
- Participate in department problem solving, kaizen events, 5S, and high-performance team activities; assist in training and knowledge sharing
Here's What You'll Need to Be Successful in This Role
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2–3 years of related inspection or supplier experience (Supplier Quality, Quality Assurance, aerospace or manufacturing preferred) or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience with inspection methods and use of inspection tools to evaluate parts
- Ability to read and understand complex blueprints, route sheets, test specifications, customer specifications, and internal drawings and procedures
- Proficiency with Microsoft communication tools and effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to identify problems, develop and implement solutions
- Visual inspection skills including ability to distinguish colors and meet visual acuity requirements
- Working knowledge of shop mathematics, including trigonometry
Here's What Else Might Help You Out
- Preferred experience with measurement equipment and background in dimensioning and tolerancing per ANSI Y14.5
- Knowledge of applicable military standards or specifications
Pay Range
$25.60 - $32.00/hour
