Ballot Processing Clerk | Temp | FT Mon-Fri 8:30am-4:30pm | $19/hour | On-Site | West Chester, PA

ASSIGNMENT STARTS SEPTEMBER 28th

Temporary ON-SITE opportunity to assist at a local government Voter Services Office with the processing of mail-in ballots for the 2026 Fall Election. This assignment starts September 28th and is expected to run through November 4th, 2026.

A day in the life of a Ballot Processing Clerk:

• Review and sort incoming mail-in ballots according to established procedures
• Assist with organizing and preparing ballots for processing
• Carefully handle election materials while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
• Follow detailed instructions, checklists, and established procedures throughout the ballot processing process
• Perform repetitive sorting and processing tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Work both independently and as part of a team to meet daily processing needs
• Perform duties that require extended periods of sitting and/or standing
• May be required to lift, move, or organize boxes and other materials as needed
• Maintain the confidentiality and security of sensitive election materials and information
• Assist with other election-related administrative or processing tasks as assigned

Requirements of a Ballot Processing Clerk:

• Previous office, administrative, warehouse, mailroom, or sorting experience is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately follow established procedures
• Comfortable performing repetitive tasks for extended periods
• Ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods
• Dependable and consistent in attendance and performance
• Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
• Must be able to handle sensitive and confidential election materials with professionalism
• Comfortable working in a structured, deadline-driven environment
