ABOUT THE POSITION
The Human Resources (HR) Coordinator is a professional who is responsible for completing the administrative duties for the human resources department of an organization. They wills assist HR managers with recruitment, maintain employee records, assist with payroll processing and provide administrative support to all employees.
Location: Parsons, KS
Key Deliverables
- Help organize and manage new employee orientation, on-boarding, and training programs.
- Organizing and maintaining personnel records, entering new hire data, and updating any previous employees’ data.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, as well as company policies and procedures.
- Answer employees’ questions and provide requested information.
Key Activities & Responsibilities
- Assist with all internal and external HR related inquiries or requests.
- Maintain both hard and digital copies of employees' records.
- Assist with the recruitment process by identifying candidates, performing reference checks and issuing employment contracts.
- Assist with performance management procedures.
- Schedule meetings, interviews, HR events and maintain agendas.
- Coordinate training sessions and seminars.
- Perform orientations and update records of new staff.
- Produce and submit reports on general HR activity.
- Identify potential areas of improvement and propose changes to processes
- Assist with payroll and ad-hoc HR projects.
- Support other assigned functions.
- Keep up-to-date with the latest HR trends and best practices.
To be successful in this role, your experience and competencies are:
- Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field and/or equivalent experience.
- 0-2 years of experience in Human Resources or related field.
- Basic Microsoft Office skills.
- Basic knowledge of Human Resources and business operations.
- Strong sense of collaboration and teamwork.
- Service minded with a focus on quality and accountability of work.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to effectively speak publicly and make presentations
- Ability to write reports, policies, procedures, and business correspondence
