As the Lineman, you will build, maintain, repair, and support aerial and underground telecommunications systems. You will perform cable installation, system maintenance, emergency response, and related construction activities while following established safety and quality standards. Your customers are Congruex field construction teams and telecommunications clients, and you will contribute to company success through safe operations, quality workmanship, productivity, and dependable field support.Key Responsibilities (Including, but not limited to):
· Build, maintain, repair, and modify aerial and underground telecommunications systems, including cable, strand, poles, anchors, down-guys, and related structures
· Read and interpret work orders, specifications, engineering drawings, and cut sheets to determine work requirements and sequence of tasks
· Perform construction activities including pole climbing, pole and anchor placement or removal, cable and conduit installation, and aerial-to-underground conversions
· Operate power equipment and hydraulic aerial equipment and safely use applicable tools and test equipment
· Respond to system outages, emergencies, hazards, maintenance activities, and rebuild projects as required
· Complete daily production reports and As-Built documentation while maintaining safety of customers, coworkers, the public, and work areas
· Additional responsibilities within functional scope based on business needsRequired Qualifications:
Education, Licensing, and Certifications
· Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
· DOT Medical Card
· Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
· OSHA 10 certificationExperience
· Experience in telecommunications line construction, maintenance, or a related field
· Knowledge of standard practices, procedures, tools, equipment, and materials used in telecommunications line constructionSkills and Abilities
· Ability to read and interpret work orders, specifications, engineering drawings, and construction documentation
· Ability to identify wire and cable colors and apply basic mathematical calculations for construction activities
· Ability to work safely at heights, in confined spaces, and around active equipment and utilities
· Ability to operate applicable construction equipment and tools safely and efficiently
· Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
· Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call as business needs requirePreferred Qualifications:
· First Aid/CPR, Flagger, Competent Person, Silica, Confined Space, Pole Climbing & Ladder Safety, or Forklift certifications
· Experience with aerial and underground telecommunications construction and emergency restoration
· Experience operating hydraulic aerial lifts, compressors, pumps, blowers, hydraulic diggers, or similar equipmentPhysical Requirements:
· Ability to lift and carry tools, materials, and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds
· Ability to climb and descend poles, ladders, machinery, and other structures
· Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in physically demanding positions for extended periods
· Ability to push, pull, reach, bend, and carry materials and equipment
· Ability to maintain visual and audible awareness of crew members, vehicles, equipment, and surrounding hazards
· Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and at remote job locations
