We are seeking a motivated Business Analyst Intern who is interested in gaining practical experience applying business, financial, operational, and analytical skills in a growing government contracting environment.
Position Overview
The Business Analyst Intern will work with JIRACOR leadership and functional teams to collect and analyze business information, develop reports, research business and market data, track performance indicators, and support business decision-making.
This internship is designed to provide meaningful, hands-on experience rather than primarily administrative work. The selected intern will have opportunities to work with actual business information and learn how data, financial information, operational performance, contracts, projects, and market research are used to support management decisions.
The position is ideal for a student pursuing Business Administration, Business Analytics, Economics, Finance, Accounting, Management, Data Analytics, or a closely related business discipline.
Key Responsibilities
The Business Analyst Intern may assist with:
- Collecting, organizing, and analyzing business and operational data
- Developing Excel spreadsheets, trackers, dashboards, and management reports
- Reviewing data to identify trends, variances, risks, and opportunities
- Supporting financial and operational performance analysis
- Assisting with budget, cost, revenue, backlog, and forecasting analysis
- Supporting development and tracking of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Performing business and market research
- Researching companies, customers, industries, and market opportunities
- Supporting analysis of U.S. Government contracting opportunities and market information
- Organizing and analyzing contract and project information
- Supporting project performance and schedule tracking
- Comparing actual performance against plans, budgets, schedules, or targets
- Assisting with process mapping and business process improvement initiatives
- Developing charts, presentations, reports, and executive-level summaries
- Supporting data validation and quality reviews
- Assisting with preparation of internal business reviews and management meetings
- Working with different departments to collect and consolidate business information
- Documenting findings and presenting recommendations to management
- Supporting special projects and business initiatives as assigned
Education Requirements
Candidates must be currently enrolled in or recently graduated from an accredited college, university, or recognized postsecondary program in one of the following areas:
- Business Administration
- Business Analytics
- Economics
- Finance
- Accounting
- Management
- Data Analytics
- Business Intelligence
- Supply Chain Management
- Information Systems
- Statistics
- Mathematics
- Or a closely related business or analytical discipline
Candidates pursuing either an Associate or Bachelor's degree are encouraged to apply.
Relevant business certificate programs may also be considered when accompanied by demonstrated analytical, spreadsheet, or business skills.

Work Location
This position is on-site at JIRACOR's Orlando, Florida office.
Regular in-person interaction with management, project teams, finance, operations, and other functional areas is an important part of the internship experience.
Citizenship and Security Requirements
Due to the nature of JIRACOR's U.S. Government and defense-related work, U.S. citizenship is required.
The selected candidate must be eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance if required for assigned work. Additional access, background, or security requirements may apply depending on the projects supported.
