Become a Key Player as a Facilities Technician
You will keep production and plant utilities running reliably by performing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and preventive maintenance across manufacturing equipment and building systems. You will work onsite in a manufacturing environment, partnering with production teams, maintenance leads, and EHS to reduce downtime, support safety, and improve equipment availability.
Here's How You'll Make an Impact on the Team
- Perform repair, maintenance, and routine PMs on production equipment, plant utilities, and facility systems (compressors, HVAC, plumbing, alarms, water/vacuum systems)
- Troubleshoot electrical systems using wiring diagrams, advanced schematics, P&IDs, multimeters, oscilloscopes, and ammeters
- Install, assemble, maintain, and repair hydraulic systems, pumps, motors, valves, and related components
- Execute and document preventive maintenance tasks and maintain accurate maintenance records and reports
- Support 5S and maintain a clean, safe, orderly work area; return tools to shadow boards and follow safety procedures
- Train equipment operators on basic autonomous maintenance and determine PM needs for new machinery
- Participate in continuous improvement and cross-functional/high-performance team activities
- Respond to variable schedules, including potential nights, weekends, and overtime as needed
Here's What You'll Need to Be Successful in This Role
- Vocational degree or technical school certificate, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 5+ years of related maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical troubleshooting skills
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, P&IDs, and blueprints
- Familiarity with air compressors, HVAC, plumbing, welding, pneumatics, and heavy manufacturing equipment
- Working knowledge of OSHA health and safety rules and plant electrical wiring/code requirements
- Intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Office
- Regular, consistent, and punctual attendance; ability to lift and assist with heavy items as described
Here's What Else Might Help You Out
- Forklift certification and experience with mobile equipment (scissor lifts, jenny booms)
- Experience with calibration of electronic proportional valves and use of oscilloscopes for transient capture
- Continuous improvement experience (e.g., 5S) that reduced hazards or improved uptime
Pay Range
$54,000 - $66,500/year
