You will perform critical nondestructive inspections that ensure aerospace components meet safety and quality standards. In this role you will work onsite in a manufacturing and inspection laboratory environment on a full-time day shift (7:00am–4:00pm), collaborating with production, engineering, and quality teams to support product compliance and audit readiness.
Here's How You'll Make an Impact on the Team
- Perform Level II Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection (FPI) on aerospace components in accordance with approved procedures and specifications.
- Perform Level II Ultrasonic Testing (UT) inspections, including setup, calibration, testing, and evaluation of results.
- Interpret inspection indications against acceptance/rejection criteria and document findings in inspection reports and records.
- Verify equipment calibration, perform daily system performance checks, and maintain NDT equipment and work areas.
- Review work instructions, blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical specifications to ensure correct inspection execution.
- Identify and segregate nonconforming material and initiate required documentation; support internal, customer, and regulatory audits.
- Assist with training and mentoring of Level I technicians and trainees.
Here's What You'll Need to Be Successful in This Role
- Current or previously certified Level II in FPI and UT (NAS410, SNT-TC-1A, or equivalent).
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum of 3 years of NDT inspection experience, preferably in aerospace manufacturing.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and process instructions.
- Working knowledge of NDT standards, procedures, and quality system requirements.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and inspection reporting systems.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift up to 35 pounds, and meet visual/color acuity requirements for FPI.
Here's What Else Might Help You Out
- Additional NDT certifications (MT, ET, RT, VT, etc.).
- Experience with customer specifications from major aerospace OEMs.
- Familiarity with NADCAP requirements and audits.
Pay Range
$40.00 - $50.00/hour
