Become a Key Player as an Assembler B
You will help the team reliably assemble and test products to meet customer quality standards and on-time delivery schedules, working primarily onsite on the 2nd shift (2:30 PM–10:00 PM). Your work supports production, quality, and on-time delivery for the client and may include first-stage subassembly, lockwiring, and final detailing. Training is provided on 1st shift before you transition to the 2nd shift schedule.
Here's How You'll Make an Impact on the Team
- Perform basic assembly and testing using hand and power tools, mechanical/electronic tools, test equipment, fixtures, and inspection measuring equipment.
- Record test results on data forms and use basic electrical equipment and flow meters.
- Interpret blueprints, engineering orders, assembly routes, test specifications, service bulletins, and quality directives.
- Produce and inspect assemblies to ensure conformity with product specifications and customer/industry standards.
- Perform touch-up or full-surface painting, mix paint, and clean parts as needed.
- Participate in lean initiatives and suggest process improvements to increase productivity and reduce costs.
- Follow all safety regulations, maintain a FOD-free work area, and ensure equipment calibration schedules are met.
Here's What You'll Need to Be Successful in This Role
- 1+ year of general mechanical work experience.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints, route sheets, and test specifications.
- Strong mechanical aptitude, basic math, and reasoning skills.
- Basic computer, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Ability to select appropriate procedures, techniques, tools, and equipment.
- Ability to implement and support lean initiatives and work effectively in a team environment.
- Must wear composite-toe or steel-toe safety shoes on day one.
Pay Range
$17.60 - $22.00/hour
