This role handles sensitive information; work must be performed in a private and secure setting (with a door) requiring reliable internet and phone connectivity.  This role does not offer immigration visa sponsorship.

Medrina is seeking an experienced Senior Power Platform Developer to serve as the organization’s primary internal resource for low-code application development, workflow automation, operational reporting, and platform support. The role will design, deliver, and maintain governed solutions using Microsoft Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Dataverse, Copilot Studio, AI Builder, and related Microsoft technologies.

The position is primarily focused on improving day-to-day business operations, with dedicated support for ACO readiness and ongoing ACO operations. It will also provide targeted EHR-adjacent solutions that address workflow gaps without replacing the core EHR or its development team. The developer will partner directly with business owners, data owners, IT, security, compliance, and other stakeholders to move approved needs from intake through deployment and ongoing support.

This role will bring routine Power Platform development, enhancements, maintenance, reporting, and departmental workflow work in house, while supporting the selective use of external consultants for specialized architecture, independent review, surge capacity, or complex short-term initiatives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (below are typical responsibilities and not an exhaustive list of all duties, other duties may be assigned as needed).

 Business Process and Application Development

  • Design, develop, deploy, and maintain enterprise Power Apps solutions for operational, administrative, clinical-support, and corporate functions.
  • Partner with business owners to translate requirements into practical, secure, scalable, and supportable applications.
  • Modernize legacy applications and manual processes when Power Platform is the appropriate solution.
  • Build solutions for intake, tracking, approvals, exception management, provider management, credentialing, compliance, audit tracking, revenue cycle, corporate services, and IT service workflows.
  • Own solution enhancements, maintenance, documentation, testing, deployment, adoption support, and production troubleshooting.

Workflow Automation

  • Develop and maintain Power Automate workflows for notifications, assignments, approvals, escalations, recurring tasks, data synchronization, and approved integrations.
  • Reduce repetitive work, manual handoffs, duplicate data entry, and administrative effort.
  • Monitor production automations, resolve failures, and improve reliability and supportability.
  • Integrate Microsoft 365, Dataverse, Azure, and approved third-party systems using connectors, APIs, and other appropriate integration methods.

Reporting and Analytics

  • Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards, operational KPI reports, and executive scorecards.
  • Improve visibility into organizational, departmental, ACO, and EHR-adjacent operational performance.
  • Partner with data owners to define reporting requirements, data definitions, security, and access controls.
  • Create reusable reporting patterns and components that accelerate consistent delivery.

ACO Readiness and Operations

  • Create ACO workgroup trackers, action registers, decision logs, issue-management tools, and readiness dashboards.
  • Automate task routing, due-date reminders, approvals, and escalations across ACO workstreams.
  • Build governed tools that support provider engagement, care coordination, program administration, and operational issue management.
  • Rapidly adapt applications, workflows, and dashboards as ACO operating models and requirements mature.
  • Standardize data capture and process execution across ACO functions using reusable Power Platform solutions.

Targeted EHR-Adjacent Enablement

  • Build interim and complementary applications for operational needs that do not require core EHR customization.
  • Address short-term workflow gaps while broader EHR capabilities are being designed or implemented.
  • Develop approved dashboards that combine EHR-related operational data with other business data sources.
  • Support appropriate integration workflows, exception handling, intake, tracking, approvals, and follow-up processes.
  • Coordinate with EHR, data, security, and infrastructure resources to maintain clear architecture, ownership, and support boundaries.

AI Initiative Enablement

  • Develop approved AI-enabled applications and workflows using Copilot Studio, AI Builder, and related Microsoft capabilities when they provide clear operational value.
  • Support rapid prototyping and controlled pilots for AI use cases across business operations, ACO activities, and appropriate EHR-adjacent processes.
  • Integrate approved AI services to assist with intake, classification, summarization, routing, and knowledge access.
  • Apply human oversight, testing, documentation, security, data governance, access controls, and lifecycle standards in partnership with business, data, security, and compliance stakeholders.
  • Create reusable patterns that help Medrina scale AI solutions without creating unmanaged point solutions.

Governance, Delivery, and Business Partnership

  • Maintain a prioritized intake and delivery backlog aligned with business value, risk, capacity, and organizational priorities.
  • Facilitate discovery sessions, requirements gathering, process reviews, prototyping, user acceptance testing, deployment, and adoption.
  • Apply Power Platform environment, security, data, development, solution lifecycle, documentation, and support standards.
  • Create reusable components, templates, and delivery patterns to improve speed, consistency, and governance.
  • Inventory existing Power Platform solutions, support responsibilities, backlog items, and recurring consultant work, and transition routine activities in house where appropriate.
  • Serve as Medrina’s day-to-day Power Platform owner and coordinate selective external support for specialized or temporary needs.
