- Technical Skills: Provides high quality imaging using various modalities including neuro-vascular and endovascular angiography examination.
Patient Assessment: Collaborates with team to collect data pre- and post-procedure, and prepares patients for procedures in CVIR.
Equipment Operation and Maintenance: Safely and competently operates all radiographic, processing and inventory equipment in CVIR.
Patient Advocate: Acts as a liaison between physician, family, and other interdepartmental units.
Utilization of Resources: As part of the CVIR team, utilizes the laboratories efficiently and safely.
Quality Assurance: Participates with team in unit assignment quality assurance projects.

- Required Skills

Minimum 1-3 years work experience as a Cardiovascular Interventional Radiology Technologist.
Graduate of an accredited school of Radiography
Formal Interventional Radiology Training preferred.
BLS; ARRT registry in Vascular Interventional (VI), Cardiovascular (CV) or Cardiovascular Interventional (CI) required.
Licensed in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Radiologic Technologist required only if the position is located in a free standing center not affiliated with an Inova Hospital.
Effective verbal and written communication skills, computer skills, and knowledge of sterile technique.
