- Description- Provides clinical services according to ultrasound practice standards and acts as a resources to students, residents, fellows and other technologists, to ensure optimal department functions.
Administers sound patient care practices according to hospital and department policies and procedures, to ensure the safety of the patients.
Demonstrates safety for patients, staff and self as outlined in department protocols and regulatory guidelines, to ensure the safety of patients and staff.
Maintains equipment, exam rooms and work areas in a neat and safe condition, to ensure the safety of the patients and employees.
Completes ancillary tasks to ensure efficient and consistent departmental operations.
***This position will cover holidays, vacation and call outs for Loundoun Hospital, Ashburn Healthplex, Cornwall and Dulles South***
- Required Skills

- Requirements- Recent hospital experience strongly preferred as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer.
Graduate of an accredited school of Diagnostic Medical Sonography. RDMS or registry eligible. If registry eligible, must obtain registration with ARDMS within 24 months of hire date.
Biopsy (Breast and thyroid) experience preferred.
Lower and upper venous Doppler studies experience preferred.
Current BLS for the HCP.
The capability to perform on-call, shift, holiday, and weekends when required.
