Emergency Room (ER) Registered Nurse

Responsibilities

• Rapidly assess and triage patients presenting with various levels of acuity, from minor injuries to life-threatening conditions
• Implement emergency nursing interventions and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to stabilize patients
• Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols and physician orders
• Monitor and document patient status, maintaining accurate and comprehensive medical records
• Coordinate patient care from admission through discharge or transfer to appropriate units
• Communicate effectively with patients and families during high-stress situations
• Participate in trauma response, code situations, and emergency preparedness activities

Qualifications

• Current Washington State RN license or eligibility to obtain one
• Minimum of 2 years of acute care nursing experience; ER experience strongly preferred
• BLS certification required; ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications required within 6 months of hire
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize effectively in high-volume, unpredictable environments
• Strong assessment skills and clinical judgment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods and assist with patient transfers
