Become a Key Player as a Business Development

You will drive growth by expanding the organization's network of local home-service business partners, impacting acquisition and adoption of the platform. You will engage directly with small business owners and internal stakeholders to build partnerships and improve onboarding. This is a 6-month contract paid hourly, with primary work in the field performing outreach and partner meetings.

Here's How You'll Make an Impact on the Team

• Research and identify local home-service businesses such as plumbers, electricians, HVAC companies, cleaners, and landscapers.
• Conduct outreach via phone, email, social media, and in-person visits to introduce the platform and establish partnerships.
• Build and maintain a pipeline of prospective partners using CRM tools or spreadsheets.
• Create outreach messaging, scripts, presentations, and partnership proposals.
• Gather feedback from prospective and existing partners to improve the value proposition and onboarding experience.
• Track outreach activity, response rates, conversions, and other key metrics.
• Provide weekly updates on outreach efforts and pipeline progress.

Here's What You'll Need to Be Successful in This Role

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Comfortable with cold calling and proactive outreach.
• Self-motivated with the ability to manage your own schedule and multiple prospects concurrently.
• Organized and detail-oriented when managing conversations and pipeline.
• Interest in startups, technology, local commerce, or the home-services industry.
