POSITION SUMMARY
Oversee Impact Groups, fundraising, and volunteer efforts to increase and/or exceed revenue goals. Develop strategies to steward all individual donor relationships, track donor activities, and improve retention.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & ESSENTIAL DUTIES OF POSITION
An individual must be able to perform each essential duty listed below at a satisfactory level:- Manage the planning, implementation, and engagement of Impact Groups in partnership with key stakeholders, inclusive of fundraising opportunities.
- Develop and manage annual recruitment and retention strategies for Impact Group volunteers, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and strategic priorities.
- Administer Impact Group committees, including meeting coordination, agenda preparation, minute-taking, and follow-up on action items.
- Lead all individual donor stewardship and benefit fulfillment to ensure a consistent, high-quality donor experience that strengthens engagement and supports retention.
- Create and manage the annual calendar of stewardship activities and events to ensure timely, consistent, and meaningful donor engagement throughout the year.
- Manage and implement a timely recognition and acknowledgment process of all donor gifts to strengthen relationships and enhance long-term loyalty.
- Solicit donations through direct outreach and presentations, aligning donor interests with organizational needs.
- Partner with the Director and other leadership to set measurable goals for relationship management and revenue forecasting aligned with HFUW needs and social responsibility.
- Manage and grow a portfolio of individual and corporate accounts focused on Impact Groups.
- Collaborate to identify new and existing donors across Impact Groups, workplace campaigns, individual giving, volunteers, and fee for service opportunities.
- Participate in key civic, professional, and community groups, aligning with their philanthropic goals.
- Implement and maintain policies and procedures for the position’s scope to ensure overall HFUW operational excellence.
- Manage contracts and invoices under the position’s scope.
- Communicate HFUW's mission and vision to diverse audiences through presentations and one-on-one conversations.
- Ensure adherence to all organizational policies and procedures, staying informed about updates, and promoting compliance within the team.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure consistent brand representation.
- Collect and evaluate volunteer feedback to highlight achievements or opportunities for growth.
- Stay informed about HFUW’s services, products, and the key issues affecting the communities we serve.
- Maintain client and staff confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA, FIPA, PHI, PII requirements.
- Provide back-up support to Development and External Relations team.
- Contribute to overall organizational success by performing other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Job requirements include:- Associate degree or equivalent combination of experience and education may be considered in lieu of degree. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Valid Driver License required.
- Three to five years of experience in nonprofit, event planning, volunteer management, fundraising, or sales experience required.
- Public speaking skills and networking with the ability to confidently address large groups and corporate leadership required.
- Strong networking skills to build and foster key relationships.
- Intermediate experience with Microsoft Office required, with advanced experience in Excel preferred.
- CRM database experience preferred.
- Customer service skills and experience required.
- Ability to edit, complete, and assemble reports.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent analytical skills.
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision required.
- Strong communication skills, both written and orally, required.
- Strong interpersonal skills to understand and respond effectively to the needs and interests of potential donors and clients.
