Description

Dynology is currently searching for a Business Objects Developer for an opportunity in New Orleans, LA. The candidate will work to develop Business Objects universes in a data warehouse environment and will develop complex reports using advanced Business Objects techniques and build ad hoc capabilities into the universes. The desired candidate will possess development experience with Business Objects XI and/or 4.x products. The development of Web Intelligence reports using custom variables, input controls, and hyper-linking; development of universes using derived tables, data security, and linked universes is required. RDBMS (Relational database management system) concepts; SQL knowledge and the ability to understand and construct complex select statements is needed for this position. 

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain Online Application Processing (OLAP) cube reports.
  • Utilize the Business Object's SDK with Web Services. Develop universes, Web Intelligence reports and Dashboards.
  • Maintain existing structure and make decisions for the design to make the appropriate technical decisions for the overall warehouse project.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor Degree and 3-6 Years of professional experience.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering (4 years of additional experience may be substituted for a Bachelor Degree)
  • Ability to utilize and configure Query as a Web Service (QAAS).
  • Experience with RDBMS; SQL Knowledge
  • Candidate should have good written and verbal communication skills, and should be able to work individually or in a team environment.
  • Ability to understand and construct complex select statements. Experience with warehouse concepts and design.  
  • Experience in Business Objects 4.2 preferred.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and have a current Secret Clearance

  • Expertise in SQL, PL/SQL, Web Services and SOA 
  • SQR and XML/BI
  • SQL Server Analysis Services
