Great opportunity for experienced CT Technologist, under general direction, operates computerized tomography (CT) equipment to obtain cross-section radiographs of various body parts as ordered by referring Physicians.
In this role, you will be performing diagnostic exams with oral and IV contrast. Prepares patients, process images, and assists Physician as needed.
Additional responsibilities include:
Accountable for patient care standards of safety, effectiveness, patient rights and guest relations.
Provides education for patients and staff and collaborates with referring physician offices.
Maintains work area in a clean and orderly condition and ensures that it is properly supplied for procedures.
Checks equipment and accessories to ensure proper working order and notifies appropriate personnel for repairs.
Responds to inquiries/calls regarding procedures in a timely manner.
Communicates problems on shift with equipment or pending exams with appropriate staff.
Maintains ACR Accreditation.
Minimum Qualifications- Two years as radiologic technologist.
- Skilled at safely and appropriately starting and administering IV and oral contrast.
- Ability to perform procedures specific to area.
- Uses a variety of equipment specific to the area, including CT scanners, power injectors, and various computers which are used to send and obtain patient information for care.
- Graduate from an accredited Radiological Technology Program
- ARRT - Current Texas License, CT Registry preferred
ARRT CT Certification preferred. Texas state licensure and ARRT certification as an x-ray technologist required.
