Job Title: COO
Job Description: You will report directly to the CEO and Board of Directors, and your role will be to lead and execute all aspects of day-to-day business operations. You will provide leadership in operations, business development, financial performance, and marketing by executing the strategic plans of the organization.
Operational Leadership: You will provide effective, hands-on, collaborative, and inspiring leadership style to ensure integration of all employees and foster an environment of continuous improvement. You will manage direct reports, set goals that support the organization’s objectives, and assign accountabilities as well as plan, monitor, and appraise job results. You will also train, coach, and oversee the development of managers. In addition, you will support ongoing performance efforts and keep the CEO and Board of Directors informed of critical issues and opportunities.
Strategic Planning and Implementation: You will develop strategies and driving implementation of organizational priorities, goals, operating plans, and objectives. You will ensure that operations run smoothly and efficiently according to the strategic plan by allocating resources, reviewing progress, and making mid-course corrections. You will evaluate operating results ensuring that growth objectives are met as well as create, implement, and track benchmark metrics.
Business Development: You will lead new business development opportunities and facilitate expansion of existing and related business opportunities for the organization. You will grow the market by defining, developing, negotiating, and closing business relationships. You will create long-term value for the organization from customers, markets, and channels by generating and maintaining relationships. You will ensure that sales revenue, sales margins, and customer goals are met.
Finance: You will manage and oversee business planning by directing and administering financial plans and accounting policies, review and analyze financial reports. You will establish, maintain, and analyze budgets, and other controls to improve efficiency and profitability.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree required, MBA highly preferred
10+ years of management experience in the manufacturing industry
Exceptional operational, business development, financial, and problem solving skills with proven track record of exceeding goals in high-growth scenarios
Successful leadership in rapid growth environments
Excellence in organizational management with ability to develop high-performance teams
