The purpose of this position is to supervise staffing office personnel and to ensure the appropriate placement of admitted patients. The incumbent assists in the formulation of a nurse float pool and coordinates the daily use of supplement staff. The incumbent coordinates and assists in the monitoring of agency usage and supports nursing administration in ensuring that all patient care units are adequately staffed at all times. The incumbent also advocates for patient safety, adherence to incident reporting, and staffing effectiveness standards for the Joint Commission.
Qualified candidates will possess:- Bachelor of Science in Nursing required, Master’s degree preferred.
- Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the District of Columbia.
- 5 years’ hospital based nursing experience.
- 3+ years’ nursing leadership experience in a hospital setting.
- Maintains active American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support
- Maintains active American Heart Association PALS certification.
