Duties: The Technical Product Owner represents the “voice of the customer” at the team level, maintaining and prioritizing the Product Backlog, to ensure that the team is working on stories that maximize business value and deliver necessary fixes and functionality to all customers. They must have strong business skills and experience, with either some past experience working with technology teams, or the ability and interest to learn how to work with technology teams. The Agile Product Owner will be 100% allocated to this role. Focuses on providing thought leadership and technical expertise across multiple disciplines. Recognized internally as “the go-to person” for the product.   Candidate needs to be local to Franklin, TN area. Skills: Core duties of the role will include: Understands key business objectives and strategy of the product. Contribute to product vision and roadmap. Works with business owners to ensure that they are engaged and supportive of direction Collaborates with Product Managers to ensure their prioritization is reflected in the team's backlog. Has final decision-making authority on acceptance criteria for product functions. Maintains and refines the inflow of work to the team (product backlog). Assists the team with decomposing features into user stories and acceptance criteria. Assesses business value and prioritizes all stories to ensure work focuses on those with maximum value that align with strategy. Ensures stories clearly communicate customer/stakeholder needs to the Scrum/Agile team; work with team to clarify stories as necessary. Understands and supports inter-team dependencies and escalates prioritization issues when necessary. Sets and communicates the team's scope for the current iteration. Attends team and program ceremonies (e.g. Daily Stand-up, Iteration Planning, Iteration Review, PI Planning). Works with team members to ensure products are working in production. Qualifications 7+ years of relevant work experience, technical and product ownership. 5+ years of experience in software development. 2+ years of work experience with Jira or Azure DevOps (ADO). Good Knowledge of the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe). Ability to negotiate the product enhancements with business teams, architects, engineers, and designers to make the right trade-off decisions. Experience in agile delivery methodologies (SAFe, Scrum, Kanban, etc.) Exemplifies teamwork and serves as role model. Ability to successfully facilitate collaboration across multiple functions, departments and levels. Ability to develop productive working relationships with both technical and non-technical partners. Understands key business objectives and strategy of the product. Recognized as a role model in Agile practices. Healthcare industry experience. Prior claims experience or working knowledge of claim systems preferred.
