We are working with an exciting, fast-growing food manufacturing company that is revolutionizing the benefits of chocolate. They are seeking an experienced and talented Production Manager. This individual will oversee the daily operation of the plant ranging from supervising staff, safety, operations, sanitation, inventory, and operational budgets. Reporting directly to the VP of Operations, this position is ideal for someone who is eager to make a mark in a rapidly-growing company.

Location: Montreal, Québec


Job Responsibilities:
 
  • Plan and monitor the day-to-day running of the facility to ensure smooth operation.
  • Play a leading role in compiling company budget, growth and development plans.
  • Supervise staff from different departments and provide constructive feedback.
  • Evaluate the efficiency of safety, operational, and sanitation procedures according to organizational objectives and apply improvements when needed.
  • Manage inventory on-site and at 3PLs
  • Review financial information and adjust operational budgets to promote profitability.
  • Lead an efficient operating team by decreasing Production Labor Hourly Costs and Production Waste.
  • Continuous optimization of the manufacturing plant’s automated output.
  • Contributes to overall business strategy and annual budget processes.
  • Signing off on large CAPEX purchases alongside VP Operations and being held accountable for the terms and reasons for those purchases.
  • Manage the budget to meet company goals.
  • Drive employees and obtain leading performance reviews to ensure a committed and proficient workforce


Required Skills/Qualifications:  
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business or a related field
  • 10+ years of experience in manufacturing and/or supply chain
  • Strong understanding of OHS and Food Safety in a warehouse and production environment.
  • Bilingual (English/French)
  • Deep familiarity with Google Suite
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Strong understanding of co-manufacturing partners, manufacturing processes and equipment
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills, ability to prioritize multiple priorities, and strong attention to detail.
  • Problem-solving skills and desire to bring solutions to challenging business problems.
  • Ability to drive organizational improvements through goal setting and management of KPIs.
  • Energy, enthusiasm, and a can-do attitude. Used to working in a high-pressure, fast-paced, and constantly changing environment
