                                             QA/QC Technician

We are looking for QA/QC Technician for a growing natural food snack company. This role will be responsible for performing inspection checks of raw materials and finished goods, verify cleanliness, conduct environmental sampling, and verify supplier documents to name a few. Job Responsibilities:
 
  • Perform assigned operational tasks determined by the quality department
  • Ensure continuous real time record keeping through-out the shift
  • Ensure the safety of the plant environment (both exterior and interior of the facility) and quality control standards are being met
  • Verification of hygiene, pre-op inspection, operational inspection, quality checks, sanitation of equipment, ect
  • Ensure to follow hold-release program requirements
  • Collect microbiological, environmental, retention, incoming raw material and finished products sampling
  • Keep up to date records to reflect any changes and ensure the quality standards are being met
  • Ensure the storage areas are cleaned and sanitized as per schedule, the storage items are labeled and identification of allergens are clear and detailed
  • Develop sensory analytical skills specific to the raw ingredients and finished products
  • Implement corrective measures
  • Prepare samples for third party lab and/or raw material supplier
  • Set example of GMP compliance and coach team members on GMP compliance
  • Conduct trainings on GMP, CCP, allergen management
  • Ensure incoming materials and outgoing finished products are in compliance with required specifications
  • Report safety and quality infringements to the QA Manager

Required Skills/Qualifications:  
  • Degree or Diploma in science, food science or related fields
  • 1+ year experience in quality, ideally in food/beverage manufacturing processing industry
  • Functional advanced knowledge of food quality and safety management system, cGMP, cleaning & sanitation, and equipment verification
  • Basic understanding in GFSI (BRC), and local health and safety regulations
  • Bilingual (English & French)
  • Familiar with Google Suite
  • Dynamic, organized, result oriented and self-driven professional, having the ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Multi-tasking skills, commitment, accurate account of events, open to learn new ideas
  • Team player with shared vision aptitude, practical trainer
  • Fundamental knowledge of sensory evaluation
