National Sales Director
We are looking for a hands-on National Sales Director for a high-quality natural food company! This position will be the driver in sustaining & building relationships with large grocery accounts, distributors and broker accounts. The ideal candidate comes in with strong experience in the natural CPG food industry and experience managing UNFI and broker relationships. Must be hungry, charismatic, and ready to work with a great team!
Travel: 40-60%
Job Responsibilities:
- Managing wholesale partners and direct retailer relationships.
- Acquiring new accounts by in-person and remote account calls.
- Managing current wholesale partners (UNFI, KeHe, DOT, C&S, etc)
- Maintaining promotional schedules and calendars.
- Managing relationships with 3rd party brokers.
- Building and maintaining key relationships.
- Scheduling and leading presentations in category reviews.
- Interpreting and presenting sales data and trend data to customers.
- Working closely with the finance leadership and data team on forecasting the annual business plan for each individual retail account.
- Building and executing coupon, demo, and other programs.
- Delivering and presenting the annual business plans to broker and retail partners.
Required Skills/Qualifications:
- High school diploma, 4-year degree preferred
- 5-10 years of experience in food and beverage sales
- Experience building small food brands
- Existing relationships with wholesalers and retailers
- Successful track record of driving sales and growth
- Ability to work well with high-performance entrepreneurial teams
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Proficient in Google Suite including sheets, docs and Gmail
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast growing and high-pressure work environment
