Our client—a leading consumer finance organization—is seeking a QA Automation Engineer to join its Credit Risk Implementation team. You’ll support the testing of credit and collections strategies within a decision engine, automating logic validation and ensuring strategy changes are released defect-free.
This is a contract-to- hire position on a team where we’ve already placed six successful consultants. The long term opportunity includes growing into strategy testing ownership and credit platform support.
Job Description Summary (CSI Sr. Analyst)
As part of the Credit Risk Management team, the Sr Analyst, Business Systems will reside on the Implementation team, Test automation for Credit and Collection strategy and policy changes. The Sr Analyst, Business Systems is primarily responsible for managing business and technical requirements, designing on a technical level, and configuring, implementing, and testing automation strategies in the credit decision engine. Provide support to other areas of Credit Risk, including, but not limited to, outside departments such as Fraud, Activations, Manual Review, Sales, and EPO. This position requires someone who can build strong working relationships. The Sr Analyst, Business Systems will also have ongoing interaction with external suppliers.
Job Description
- Reviews and analyzes business and operations workflow, decision process, and business objectives.
- Build test automation utilities for Credit Risk strategies.
- Develops, reviews, and updates internal, external, and post-implementation documentation, including process flows, procedures, system flows, and change logs, ensuring thorough and accurate information.
- Troubleshoot systems and integration issues, working closely with the appropriate resources to resolve them.
- Develop, implement, and monitor appropriate controls to ensure defect-free implementation of risk strategies, including documentation, review, and testing procedures.
- Ensures that credit decision systems (account acquisition, portfolio management, and collection) operate efficiently.
- Ensure appropriate requirements and solutions are developed based on a solid understanding of the impacted systems and standards.
- Ability to support on-call, work nights and weekends for deployments on a rotating basis.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
- Elicits and evaluates information gathered from multiple sources, reconciles conflicts, decomposes high-level information into details, abstracts from low-level information to a more general understanding, distinguishes presented user requests from the underlying actual needs, and distinguishes solution ideas from requests. Understand how policies, systems, and processes impact requests/projects. Shares business knowledge and understanding among business systems analysts and project stakeholders—brokers consensus among stakeholders with conflicting needs.
- Facilitates requirement sessions with stakeholders and creates comprehensive work products documenting technical requirements, including request validation and traceability.
- Provides SME leadership and consulting support on complex tasks. Initiates and executes initiatives to improve the team's processes, procedures, and tools. Reviews deliverables and provides input for other analysts. Strong understanding of all business channels.
- Contributes to process improvement initiatives.
Work Experience:
- 7-10 Years: Validated Experience. (Preferred)
- 5+ Years of experience In One Or More: JavaScript, Active script, or any object-oriented programming language. (Required)
- 3+ years of experience in automation tools like Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Load Runner, etc. (preferred)
- Hands-on experience in writing test suites and test scripts, as well as creating test plans and sharing them with stakeholders Required)
- Having a vision to automate the scenarios and be creative in testing and improving productivity and speed to Market(Preferred)
- Debugging and troubleshooting experience using Splunk, AppDynamics, Prometheus, Power BI, and Grafana(Preferred).
- Passionate about learning new technologies and building test automation utilities (Preferred)
- Experience Working In An Agile And DevOps Environment. (Preferred)
- Having experience on the FICO platform is an advantage in configuring strategies.
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, a related subject area, or equivalent experience (Required)
