ABOUT THE POSITION

The purpose of this internship is to provide meaningful, professional hands-on experience to students with established academic leadership and performance potential. This internship provides the opportunity for meaningful contribution to one of Astec’s varies departments while experiencing personal professional development. 

Key Deliverables

·         Complete task set out by supervisor.

·         Provide accurate filing procedures.

·         Assist department in special projects.

·         Communicate effectively with individuals internally and externally.

Key Activities & Responsibilities

·      Conduct a variety of general administrative tasks such as maintain, and update files, and organize documents.

·      Help plan and design business process and preparing information and research materials.

·   Assist in the development, implementation, evaluation, and distribution of ongoing programs, functional and activities. 

·      Manage databases and input information, data, and records.

·      Assists with other duties and special projects as needed.

 

To be successful in this role, your experience and competencies are:

·         High School Diploma or equivalent required

·         Pursuing a bachelor’s Degree in a related field.

·         Good time management of multiple details and deadlines.

·         Strong PC skills/ Microsoft Excel/ PowerPoint/ Word

·         Excellent Communication skills, Verbal and Writing

·         Driven, enthusiastic and highly motivated

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Office

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to risk of injury in an office environment and occasionally a manufacturing shop plant environment.  Duties include a typical office setting including extensive computer work, sitting or standing.
