What You’ll Do:

Take full lifecycle ownership of mechanical design projects—from concept through manufacturing handoff

Develop complete systems and subassemblies for next-gen commercial and pre-commercial products

Translate product requirements into mechanical solutions that balance form, function, and manufacturability

Collaborate with cross-functional teams in R&D, electrical, software, and operations

Conduct design reviews, generate technical documentation, and present findings to leadership

Leverage advanced CAD and simulation tools (SolidWorks, FEA) to validate design decisions

Drive innovation by proposing new approaches and contributing to IP development
Who You Are:

Bachelor’s or Master’s in Mechanical Engineering (ABET accredited preferred)

10+ years of hands-on experience in mechanical design and product development
-
SolidWorks expert; experience with FEA tools (ANSYS preferred)

Proven ability to design for manufacturability in both prototyping and production environments

Strong project ownership, leadership, and cross-functional collaboration skills
-
U.S. Citizen (required for access to certain projects/facilities)

Comfortable operating in fast-moving environments where priorities evolve and creativity is valued
