Confidential Advanced Technology Company | Full-Time | Based in Southwest Montana

Are you a builder, thinker, and systems integrator who thrives on turning ideas into powerful products?

A confidential U.S.-based technology development company is seeking a Senior Electromechanical Engineer to join their growing team. This is a rare opportunity to contribute to the design and development of next-generation industrial systems with real-world impact—while enjoying the unique lifestyle of Southwest Montana.

About the Company (Confidential):

This innovation-first manufacturing company delivers advanced processing technologies across multiple high-performance industries, including energy, pharma, defense, and advanced manufacturing. Their team engineers highly specialized systems and equipment used in mission-critical environments across the globe. As demand for custom solutions and advanced platforms grows, they are expanding their engineering team to continue delivering excellence at scale.

The Opportunity:

As a Senior Electromechanical Engineer, you will lead the development of integrated systems and components that combine precision mechanics with robust electrical design. You’ll work closely with cross-disciplinary teams to turn complex ideas into commercial-ready hardware—from concept to launch.

This is a highly technical and hands-on role with end-to-end product ownership and ample room for innovation. Whether it’s prototyping, testing, or final integration, you’ll be building systems that are redefining what’s possible in industrial engineering.

What You’ll Do:

  • Own full-lifecycle product development: concept, design, prototyping, testing, iteration, and manufacturing support

  • Design and integrate electromechanical systems across both prototype and commercial product lines

  • Collaborate with electrical and mechanical teams on component specifications, layouts, and system architecture

  • Conduct technical investigations to resolve product/process issues and contribute to the development of new solutions

  • Apply principles of electronics, motion control, and systems integration to bring advanced equipment to life

  • Create technical documentation including CAD models, BOMs, calibration guides, and test procedures

  • Support design for manufacturability and scalability from small-batch to production-level systems

  • Communicate progress and recommendations to technical leadership and executive stakeholders

What You Bring:

  • B.S. or M.S. in Electromechanical, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering (ABET accredited preferred)

  • 10+ years of experience in electromechanical system design and development

  • Strong SolidWorks proficiency (CAD/CAE experience required)

  • Deep understanding of mechanical/electrical interaction in complex systems

  • Experience with sensors, actuators, motion control, and embedded components a plus

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across disciplines

  • Detail-oriented with a passion for problem-solving and innovation

  • U.S. Citizenship (required due to project requirements)

You’ll Thrive Here If You:

  • Enjoy bridging the gap between mechanical engineering and electronics

  • Excel at system-level thinking and precision-driven design

  • Are excited by hands-on prototyping and seeing your work in real-world applications

  • Value working in a close-knit, multidisciplinary engineering team

  • Appreciate ownership, creativity, and autonomy in a fast-paced environment

Benefits & Perks:

  • Generous PTO and Paid Holidays

  • Medical, Life, and Disability Insurance

  • Flexible Benefit Plan

  • 401(k) with Profit Sharing / Pension Plan

  • Relocation Assistance (for the right candidate)

  • High-impact role in a growing, innovation-led company

  • Lifestyle perks of working in beautiful Southwest Montana
