Wellworks For You is hiring an experienced remote-based Controller. As the Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the Company’s accounting operations, including general ledger management, accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), revenue recognition, tax compliance, and financial reporting. You will also ensure the accuracy, timeliness, and completeness of all accounting records and internal controls. This role will support the CFO in building scalable accounting processes and infrastructure to support growth and will be a key financial leader in the organization as well as a trusted partner to the CFO and broader leadership team.

As the Controller you will:

·         Oversee and manage all day-to-day accounting operations, including AP, AR, bank reconciliations, and general ledger management

·         Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting

·         Ensure compliance with GAAP, revenue recognition standards (ASC 606), and applicable local, state, and federal tax regulations

·         Establish, document, and maintain scalable accounting policies, processes, and internal controls

·         Manage external audits, annual federal and state tax return process, and other third-party partners

·         Oversee the optimization and enhancement of accounting systems (i.e. QuickBooks Online)

·         Collaborate with FP&A and CFO to provide insights into variances against Budget and Forecast

·         Oversee and develop the current Accounting team, and provide recommendations on team structure as the Company scales

 

To be successful in the role you must possess:

·         Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA preferred

·         8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including experience as a Controller or Assistant Controller

·         B2B SaaS industry experience and deep understanding of SaaS revenue recognition (ASC 606)

·         Excellent process development and improvement experience, particularly with high growth and scaling companies

·         Strong knowledge of US GAAP, internal controls, and accounting processes

·         Demonstrated experience managing the close process, audits, and operational accounting functions

·         Problem-solver mentality with an eagerness to improve current processes

·         Adaptable and flexible, with an ability to work in environments that require rethinking how things are done

·         Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently

·         Experience managing, integrating, and optimizing accounting software and tools for growth (i.e. QuickBooks Online, Bill.com and Avalara)

·         Strong leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills

·         Corporate Wellness or Healthcare experience a plus

What is the work environment?

·         This job routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, etc.

·         This position is a fully remote position, reporting into our home office in Malvern, PA. Local candidates can have the option of hybrid work in office and remote if desired.

·         Because you will be handling confidential client information, you must work from your designated home office. You cannot work in a public location.

·         Technology, hardware and software, are provided. Employees must provide their own secure internet access.

·         This position's hours will be Monday through Friday 9am to 5pm ET.
