@Orchard LLC is supporting our client, a Native Hawaiian Organization (NHO) specializing in global information technology in IT Design & Installation, Cybersecurity Engineering & Support, Application Integration & Development, Software & Hardware Engineering, Network & Systems Management, Information Systems Security, and Business Management Services. Our client has an immediate opening for a Video Teleconference (VTC)Technician.

About the role:

The VTC Technician is responsible for supporting communication events and facilitating and coordinating connections of various media resources to stand up Video Teleconference (VTC) and UC connections across geographically dispersed locations, in support of a government client. This is a role that requires great customer service and communication skills.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Schedule and manage telephone meetings using phone conference, VTC, and UC systems
• Troubleshoot basic problems such as joining, conducting, and participating in phone conferences, VTC, and UC meetings
• Support various operations and maintenance (O&M) tasks for a variety of media systems, including live and delayed streaming broadcasts
• Perform system integrity and connectivity tests to ensure system availability
• Assess and report on performance and usage numbers
• Ensure compliance with policies and procedures including DoD STIG requirements
• Develop and maintain documentation of all processes associated with the administration of the network and duties performed by network & system administrators
• Experienced with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point and TEAMS
• Experience with AMX and Crestron audio/video controllers and related peripherals
• Demonstrated knowledge of VTC technology and equipment, and coordinating VTC-type meetings across multiple sites
• Experience supporting communications/media systems such as: teleconference systems, VTC systems, and UC interfaces
• Other duties as assigned

Your background will include:

• Demonstrated customer service skills and experience in fielding and troubleshooting customer questions and issues.
• Experience supporting communications/media systems such as phone conference systems, VTC systems, UC interfaces, live and delayed streaming video, and digital signage technologies across multiple locations.
• Experience with Video Teleconference (VTC) and Unified Communications (UC) technologies is preferred, but can be trained.
• Experience with media/VTC/UC vendors and technologies such as Polycom, Microsoft Lync (Skype for Business), VBrick, Sonus, Cisco, Ectocryp, Acano, etc., preferred but can be trained.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Active Directory/GPO integration with SCCM is preferred, but can be trained.
• Possesses good knowledge of different software systems, client/server architectures, and various compatibility requirements.
• Experience in troubleshooting, software development processes, and the ability to understand and implement client requirements.

Qualifications

• An associate’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related discipline is preferred
• 1+ years of experience performing VTC systems administration functions preferred.
• A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record may be required, with the occasional use of a company vehicle while on the work site

 Salary Range: Actual compensation range will be determined upon experience and qualification, but will be in the range, $36,000-$45,000 p.a. Our client provides comprehensive benefits including Health, Dental, Vision, 401k, PTO, and Tuition reimbursement.
