Java Developer (API) - Remote

We are seeking a talented Java Developer with API expertise to join our innovative team. This is a remote position that offers the opportunity to make significant contributions to our technology infrastructure.

About The Role

As a Java Developer specializing in APIs, you will design, develop, and maintain robust API solutions that power our applications and services. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to create scalable, secure, and high-performance APIs that meet business requirements and technical standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Create API specifications for RESTful APIs that define system interactions, ensuring scalability, security, and optimal performance
• Develop clear and comprehensive API documentation to assist developers in understanding and implementing our APIs
• Monitor API performance metrics, identify and resolve issues, and continuously optimize API functionality
• Implement robust security protocols, authentication, and authorization mechanisms to protect APIs from unauthorized access
• Design and build applications using Java programming language for both front-end and back-end development

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Proficiency in Java and microservices frameworks (particularly Springboot)
• Strong understanding of API architectural styles including REST, GraphQL, and SOAP
• Experience working with common data formats such as JSON, XML, and YAML
• Knowledge of database technologies and messaging systems
• Strong debugging and testing skills to ensure code quality and reliability

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Azure Cloud Platform
• Familiarity with Azure DevSecOps practices and tools
• Experience with API development tools, API gateways, and API management platforms
• Background in web development and creating intuitive developer experiences
