Digital Engineer - Voice Testing - Hybrid
We are seeking an experienced Digital Engineer specializing in Voice Testing to join our client's team.
Location Options:
Vienna, VA, Winchester, VA, San Diego, CA, Pensacola, FL
Role Overview:
As a Digital Engineer - Voice Testing, you will design, execute, and automate testing processes to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of our voice channel technologies and applications. You will play a key role in optimizing our Natural Language Processing systems for conversational banking.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze call recordings, review reports, and evaluate data to identify areas in Natural Language Processing that require tuning
- Implement changes to the tuning engine after identifying grammar sets and understanding why recordings may not be transcribed correctly
- Work with AudioCodes and Microsoft TTS/STT systems to optimize voice recognition
- Research unrecognized speech patterns and false positives to make proper adjustments to the tuning engine
- Design and execute both manual and automated voice testing processes
- Communicate technical findings and recommendations to stakeholders
Required Qualifications:
- In-depth knowledge and work experience with speech tuning in voice recognition applications
- Strong data analysis skills with the ability to determine best approaches for improved speech recognition
- Audio engineering expertise to make effective recommendations for system tuning
- Working knowledge and greater than three years experience in Microsoft Speech Studio, Microsoft STT/TTS solutions, and preferably AudioCodes portal or tuning processes
Additional Requirements:
- Expertise in voice technologies including IVR systems, speech recognition, voice assistants, and AI-driven voice solutions
- Proficiency with voice testing tools
- Experience in both manual and automated voice testing, including functionality, performance, and load testing
- Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Self-directed work style with minimal need for supervision or training
