As a Metrologist, you will support the day-to-day operations of the Quality Control Analytical Lab and ensure the accuracy and reliability of chemical analysis through routine and non-routine testing. You will be responsible for executing analytical methods across raw materials, bulk products, finished goods, environmental samples, and stability programs. In this role, you will develop, qualify, and validate testing procedures, write technical documentation, and manage equipment calibration, troubleshooting, and maintenance. You’ll play a critical role in ensuring lab efficiency, data integrity, and compliance in a fast-paced production environment.

    • Salary Range: $58,000.00 - $77,000.00
    • Bonus: Exempt employees are eligible for a bonus in accordance with Accupac’s Bonus Plan.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead troubleshooting and resolution of instrumentation, method, and sample issues with minimal supervision
  • Write, execute, and coordinate method validations, protocols, and reports in alignment with ICH and GMP requirements
  • Review customer test methods and lead method transfers and technical projects independently
  • Manage and perform calibration, qualification (IQ/OQ/PQ), and preventative maintenance for lab equipment
  • Specify, source, and support procurement of laboratory parts and instrumentation
  • Train QC Chemists on new instruments and test procedures
  • Develop, propose, and execute test methods and report findings to management and customers
  • Maintain GMP-compliant documentation including SOPs, logs, and audit records
  • Lead cross-functional technical projects and present findings internally and externally

 

What We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Analytical Chemistry or related field; strong chemistry foundation required
  • 3–5 years of chemical laboratory experience in a GMP/FDA-regulated environment (Pharmaceutical preferred)
  • Expertise in instrumentation such as HPLC, GC, FTIR, UV/VIS, Viscometers, Density Meters, and Karl Fischer titrators
  • Thorough understanding of method validation principles and ICH guidelines
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a fast-paced lab setting
  • Clear written and verbal communication, technical reporting, and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and lab data systems
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs, stand for extended periods, and maintain color vision for testing accuracy
