Wage: $18.75/hr

Position Summary: Perform administrative support and duties for children and families served through Post Adoption services. This role requires full-time, on-site attendance, Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm.

Technical/Functional Expectations:

  1. Tuition Waivers: Verify eligibility for families that meet criterion for the State of Florida Tuition Waiver.
  2. Subsidy Letters:  Verify eligibility for families seeking confirmation of Maintenance Adoption Subsidy.
  3. Data Reporting:  Coordinate, gather and compile listing of all contact information for adoptive families.
  4. Adoption Assistance Agreement (AAA) Outreach & Correction- Contacts families who have finalized an adoption to complete an updated AAA when determination deems them TANF vs. Title IV-E.
  5. Spreadsheets: Create spreadsheets with appropriate data to provide others with organized statistical reports.
  6. Maintain Files Essential: Store and retrieve files in accordance with established procedures to ensure the timely access of information and records. Assist in upload and scanning of files into the electronic filing system.
  7. Other duties as required: Job performance requires fulfilling other incidental or related duties as assigned, assisting, and training others, and performing duties of higher rated positions from time to time for developmental purposes.

Business Experience:
  1. Two + years of experience as an administrative assistant: This is required to have the skills necessary to meet the expectations of this role.
  2. Proficient in Microsoft Business Applications: Essential: This is required to assist in developing reports, establishing, and maintaining spreadsheets, and providing strong administrative support including preparing correspondence, memos, spreadsheets, and taking minutes.
  3. Collaborative solution focused communication style: This is required to effectively work with a diverse public and internal and external stakeholders.
  4. Excellent Customer Service Skills: Essential: This is required as this individual must work with a diverse group of staff.
  5. Valid Driver’s License: This is important to provide support and assistance at other sites as needed.
Educational and Experience Requirements:
  1. High School Diploma required.
  2. AA/AS - Associates Degree or equivalent preferred.
  3. 2 years related experience required.
