Business Lending Support Specialist
Responsibilities
- Process business loan and credit card applications according to established laws, requirements, and guidelines
- Forward completed loan applications to Underwriting for final review/approval
- Notify members of loan application status; request additional documentation as needed or required
- Monitor loan system queues and other databases to take action on pending items
- Remain alert to possible account fraud/abuse; forward to appropriate area for review/action
- Review applications for completeness, data integrity, and accuracy; determine if additional information and/or supporting documentation is required
- Ensure adherence to established Business Solutions policies and procedures
- Identify, investigate, and resolve discrepancies/processing problems including documentation and time-sensitive issues
- Support the closing of business loans and ensure loan proceed disbursement
- Apply basic sales and consulting skills
- Interact with members, staff, and outside contacts to resolve discrepancies, problems, and issues
- Maintain daily activity log and follow established phone system tracking procedures
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications

- Exceptional attention to detail with ability to maintain accuracy and meet deadlines

- Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to apply research and interpretation of findings to respond to information requests
- Proficiency in following, interpreting, and applying relevant data/instructions to guidelines, procedures, practices, and regulations
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Nice to have:
- Working knowledge of Business Lending products, services, programs, policies, and procedures
- Working knowledge of lending principles and techniques
- Experience in the financial services industry
