Project Manager/Scrum Master: Remote

Overview

We're seeking an experienced Project Manager/Scrum Master to join our client's dynamic team. This role combines traditional project management with agile methodologies to deliver high-quality solutions while ensuring teams operate at peak efficiency.

Requirements

• 7-10 years combined IT Project Management experience as both a Project Manager AND Scrum Master
• PMP Certification (required)
• Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certification (required)
• Certified SAFe 5 Scrum Master (SSM) (preferred)
• Proven experience demonstrating courageous servant leadership
• Proficiency with Sharepoint, PowerPoint, Excel, and Service Now

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Liaise effectively between Business stakeholders, Scrum teams, and Technical partners
• Communicate clearly with various levels of management
• Serve as dedicated PM/Scrum Master for your assigned team
• Manage project activities through all life cycles using Service Now, Sharepoint, and other tools
• Deliver comprehensive project reporting and analytics
• Contribute to Annual Financial Planning processes

Project Leadership

• Manage full project life cycles following SDLC methodologies
• Apply project management best practices across:
  • Scope Management
  • Schedule Management
  • Issue/Risk Management
  • Procurement Management
  • Communications Management
  • Change Management
  • Quality Management
  • Vendor Management
  • Contract Management
• Utilize tools to manage team efforts, release schedules, staffing profiles, roadmaps, and documentation
• Ensure on-time and on-budget delivery through effective planning and forecasting
• Drive change leadership by building strong partnerships and communication plans
• Adhere to established PM processes and actively participate in structured project reviews

Project Execution

• Lead as PM/Scrum Master on dedicated teams supporting IT infrastructure and facilities upgrades
• Simultaneously manage small to medium projects within a portfolio of applications
• Ensure clear alignment of roles and responsibilities across team members
• Take initiative to improve processes, team organization, and reporting mechanisms
• Monitor and measure resource assignments against project goals and accountabilities

Vendor Management

• Develop and maintain effective relationships with vendors
• Review invoices and oversee work quality and deliverables

Communication

• Provide consistent, concise, relevant information to all stakeholders through various channels
• Ensure accuracy of information to support effective business decisions

Key Skills

• Strong project management capabilities including planning, scheduling, and budgeting
• Excellent leadership and team coordination abilities
• Advanced problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Knowledge of risk management and process improvement techniques

Preferred Experience

• Mainframe project management experience
• Service Now experience
• Azure DevOps experience
