LOCATION
Candidates should be based in the NY metro area. We are a hybrid organization and work three days per week in our downtown New York City office.
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for an experienced Temporary Event Manager to provide critical support for CRUS’s events including the annual benefit in December. Your responsibilities include cross-departmental project management, interfacing with donors, liaising with vendors, drafting communications, and supporting internal gala processes.
The Event Manager must be organized, detail-oriented, and possess excellent communication skills.
WHAT YOU WILL DO

Work across departments to manage various aspects of events.

Manage event RSVPs, registration lists, and guest communications.

Collect guests names, donor listings, and program ads from ticket buyers.

Manage ticket and credential distribution process.

Support event logistics.
-
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial reports.

Coordinate with internal teams to manage pledges for donors and vendors.

Collect donor information and work with internal teams to ensure CRM records are complete and accurate.

Manage the check-in process.

Other duties as assigned.
ABOUT YOU
-
Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent)
-
Project management experience.
-
Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Google Workplace, and preferably Asana.

Experience in event planning or event coordination in a non-profit environment

Experience ticketing events in a theater is a plus

Excellent organizational, communication, and multitasking skills

Ability to remain calm under pressure and maintain a customer-service mindset

THE PAY
CRUS offers competitive compensation. The hourly range for this role is anticipated to be $30.00 - $35.00 per hour. The actual rate is dependent upon many factors, including but not limited to: abilities, skills, work experience, knowledge, business needs, and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified.
