Sight & Sound Productions, a private equity-backed business headquartered in Jacksonville, FL, is searching for an experienced Controller. As we continue to scale, we are seeking our first full-time Controller to own the accounting function and streamline financial operations—freeing up the founding team to focus on growth. This is a hands-on role best suited for someone who enjoys working in a lean, fast-paced environment. You’ll be responsible for day-to-day accounting, monthly close, financial reporting, and supporting private equity-level reporting.

As the Controller, you will:

• Own all day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, AP/AR, bank reconciliations, and payroll coordination
• Lead the month-end close process and prepare financial statements
• Maintain a chart of accounts and accounting policies and procedures
• Prepare financial reporting packages for the executive team and PE firm
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes in collaboration with leadership
• Coordinate with external tax and audit partners as needed
• Manage KPI implementation
• Identify process improvements and help implement best practices as the business grows

To be successful in the role, you must possess:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required
• CPA preferred, but not required
• 5+ years of accounting experience, including at least some experience in a small or mid-sized business
• Prior exposure to PE-backed reporting or Board-level financials is a plus
• Comfortable operating in QuickBooks (or similar) and Excel
• Self-starter comfortable rolling up sleeves in a lean environment
