Yard Hand/Class A Driver

Smart Chemical Solutions is seeking a dedicated and hardworking Yard Hand–Driver to join our team. This position plays a key role in maintaining the organization and efficiency of our industrial yard. The ideal candidate will have experience with forklifts, a Class A CDL (or willing to obtain) and a strong commitment to safety while working with chemicals and equipment in various weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Maintain organization and cleanliness of the yard under management guidance
• Consolidate partial containers of the same chemical
• Ensure proper labeling of all chemicals
• Load and unload trucks with chemical products
• Perform general housekeeping and yard maintenance duties
• Repackage chemicals in out-of-spec containers
• Assist with yard counts and inventory management
• Coordinate removal of empty containers with dedicated contractors
• Collect and manage Bills of Lading (BOLs) for inventory tracking
• Perform additional tasks as assigned by management

Qualifications

• Strong commitment to safety standards and procedures
• Experience operating a forklift
• Comfortable working outdoors in extreme heat or cold
• Experience handling toxic, corrosive, or hazardous chemicals
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and climb ladders and stairs
• Valid Class A CDL required
