The Opportunity:
A global professional association is seeking a Corporate Compliance Analyst for a temporary assignment. This role is hybrid and can be based in New York City or Piscataway, NJ. If in New York City: three days are onsite and two days remote. If in Piscataway, NJ,: one day onsite in New York City, two days onsite in Piscataway, NJ and two days remote. The compensation range is $30–$40 per hour. Conversion to a permanent role may be considered.
Primary Duties:
The Corporate Compliance Analyst will support the organization’s broader legal and compliance functions and will report directly to the Deputy General Counsel for Compliance. The Corporate Compliance Analyst will contribute to the development, implementation, and execution of global compliance programs and policies. Key responsibilities include:
- Support sanctions compliance program through policy implementation, training, and oversight.
- Enhance and maintain sanctions screening tools for third-party monitoring.
- Conduct internal and external vetting for statutory and regulatory compliance.
- Collaborate with in-house and external counsel on global trade and export control issues.
- Drive improvements in compliance processes across organizational units.
- Manage diligence screening requests and respond via matter management system.
- Provide support for broader legal and compliance initiatives.
- Additional duties include handling ad hoc projects as assigned.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
- 1–3 years in legal, ethics & compliance, or internal audit within an international company, law firm, nonprofit, or government unit.
- Preferred Certifications: JD, CCEP, CRCM, LPEC (completed or in process).
- Descartes experience
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Access.
- Strong attention to detail and time management.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
