Position Title: Registered Nurse (RN)

As a Labor & Delivery RN, you'll create safe, positive birth experiences by expertly monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and providing skilled assistance throughout the childbirth journey. Beyond clinical expertise, you'll serve as a trusted guide, educating parents on newborn care, supporting breastfeeding success, and facilitating healthy postpartum recovery. Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure a safe and smooth delivery process through expert clinical care and monitoring
• Monitor maternal and fetal vital signs with precision and respond appropriately to changes
• Administer medications as needed during labor with attention to safety and effectiveness
• Assist with epidurals and implement diverse pain management techniques to enhance comfort
• Provide compassionate physical and emotional support throughout the childbirth journey
• Educate parents about newborn care, breastfeeding techniques, and postpartum recovery strategies
• Offer emotional support and reassurance to patients and their families during this transformative experience

Required Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program.
• ACLS, NRP (or obtained within three months of employment).
• BLS.
• DC RN License.
• Prefer one-year full time or three years part time experience in acute care setting.
• Fetal Monitoring and Training Basic Dysrhythmia Class.
• Requirements specified for specialty units.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements:

The position may involve extended periods of standing or sitting, the use of standard office or clinical equipment, occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds, and potential local travel. Work settings may vary from office-based to hospital or community environments depending on the role.
