Westlake Securities is searching for an experienced Director of Operations located in Austin, TX. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Director of Operations is the firm’s operational architect and day-to-day integrator. You will design and manage the workflows that power our deal pipeline, ensure data fidelity across multiple platforms, and translate strategic initiatives into actionable project plans. Success in this role requires equal parts strategic foresight and sleeves-rolled-up execution—coupling investment-banking fluency with modern operations best practices to keep our organization operating at peak productivity.

As the Director of Operations, you will be responsible for:

Project & Program Management
You will institutionalize a firm-wide project management framework—establishing Gates, KPIs, and retrospectives—to shepherd new initiatives from ideation through post-implementation review.

• Build a unified PMO playbook and implement it across teams.
• Chair weekly initiative-status meetings and maintain a live, executive-level dashboard of milestones, risks, and resourcing needs.
• Lead cross-functional “tiger teams” to remediate bottlenecks in real time.

Data Coordination & Analytics
The Director of Operations is the steward of our information architecture, charged with turning fragmented data into strategic insight.

• Own firm-wide adoption and optimization of our CRM, resources and AI solutions.
• Utilize data to help the firm make better decisions and grow.
• Produce monthly performance decks synthesizing pipeline velocity, win-loss analytics, and operational KPIs for team leadership.

Initiative Planning & Execution
From new product launches to back-office system upgrades, you will translate strategic objectives into granular action plans.

• Scope initiatives with detailed business cases, resource models, and ROI projections.
• Sequence workstreams, project plan, and own deadlines for key initiatives. 
• Continue to build the Westlake Way and  lessons learned to improve future projects.

Administrative Excellence
The role also encompasses high-stakes administrative support that keeps the organization synchronized and compliant.

• Oversee calendaring, meeting preparation, speaking engagements, travel logistics, and expense management for executive leadership.
• Coordinate engagement letters, NDAs, and regulatory filings in partnership with legal and compliance.
• Maintain a culture of operational discipline that reflects Westlake’s client-first ethos.

To be successful in the role you must possess:

• Professional Background: 8+ years of progressive operations leadership within investment banking, private equity, direct credit, or a transaction-heavy advisory environment.
• Project Management Mastery: Demonstrated record of delivering multi-stakeholder projects on time.
• Data Fluency: Advanced proficiency in Excel modeling and BI visualization (Power BI or Tableau). Proven success utilizing CRM or deal-management platforms.
• Educational Foundation: Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, project management, or a related analytical discipline required; MBA or relevant master’s degree is an advantage.
• Communication & Leadership: Superior written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to distill complexity into executive-ready insights and to motivate cross-functional teams.
