You will be responsible for the intricate process of forecasting, sourcing, and managing the vital components and supplies that keep our advanced weapon systems operational. Your expertise will directly translate into mission readiness, ensuring the Air Force can fly, fight, and win—anytime, anywhere.
In this journeyman-level role, you will not only manage critical supply actions but also serve as a mentor and guide, providing your invaluable experience to your team and key stakeholders like the Requirements Control Officer (RCO).
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a cornerstone of the supply planning team, providing expert logistics support and directly enabling Government Supply Planners to execute their mission with precision.
- Spearhead the requirements determination process, utilizing advanced systems to forecast and secure the parts needed to maintain mission-critical assets.
- Directly influence program execution by analyzing demand data, developing procurement budgets using the Automated Budget Control System (ABCS), and preparing comprehensive Purchase Instrument packages.
- Act as a critical problem-solver, reviewing and resolving discrepancies related to procurement actions, contract terminations, repairs, and excess inventory.
- Manage the entire lifecycle of assets, conducting National Stock Number (NSN) reviews, assisting with cataloging actions, and overseeing the screening, disposal, and reclamation of excess stock.
- Provide end-to-end asset visibility, tracking shipments and deliveries to provide timely status updates to internal and external customers.
- Master and leverage a comprehensive suite of Air Force logistics and supply chain systems, including but not limited to: ESCAPE/SPM (Servigistics), PRPS, EXPRESS, LIMS-EV, D035A, D143C/D043A, WEBSDRs, ILS-S, CIDS, MIAP, MSDIS, DAASINQ, and WEBVLIPS.
Required Qualifications:
- An active DoD Secret security clearance is mandatory.
- A minimum of eight (8) years of demonstrated experience supporting Department of Defense (DoD) logistics programs.
- Proven ability to provide journeyman-level guidance on complex logistics systems and processes.
