The Opportunity

A mission-driven employment discrimination law firm seeks a highly skilled, business-minded Attorney to draft pre-suit correspondence in connection with a broad range of complex plaintiff-side cases.  This a long-term, temporary position with a hybrid schedule of minimally three days in the office.  Office locations include midtown and lower Manhattan.  Hourly rate is $50-$60 plus benefits. 

Primary Duties

This powerhouse boutique law firm specializes in pre-litigation advocacy, using aggressive, results-driven strategies to secure favorable outcomes for their clients. The successful  Attorney will have expertise in employment discrimination law and the ability to draft persuasive and impactful pre-suit litigation correspondence leading to favorable, high dollar settlements.  You must be a true team player who can expertly digest facts, synthesize legal analysis and craft legally sound and compelling narratives.  

Requirements

  • J.D. from an accredited law school; licensed and in good standing with New York State Bar
  • 5–10 years of experience, with a focus on employment discrimination law
  • Demonstrated success in drafting pre-suit litigation correspondence
  • Deep understanding of federal and state discrimination laws, EEOC/Division and all other relevant agencies procedures, statutes of limitations and how to leverage the same to maximize case value
