Raytheon-Rafael Area Protection Systems (R2S), a dynamic and fast-growing joint venture between Raytheon and Rafael, is seeking a results-driven HR Generalist to support execution of major defense programs—most notably the Iron Dome AUR production, Marine Corp Medium Range Intercept (MRIC) and future Air Defense systems.

 

We are seeking a hands-on HR Generalist to support our manufacturing facility and partner closely with operations leadership. This role is critical to maintaining a positive employee experience, ensuring compliance, and supporting a safe, productive, and engaged workforce. The ideal candidate is comfortable on the plant floor, confident handling employee relations, and experienced in fast-paced manufacturing environments.

 

Key Responsibilities

Employee Relations & Engagement

·    Serve as the first point of contact for employees and supervisors regarding HR-related questions, concerns, and policy interpretation

·    Address employee relations issues, conduct investigations, and recommend appropriate corrective actions

·    Support a positive workplace culture aligned with company values and operational goals

 

Recruitment & Onboarding

·    Coordinate hourly and salaried recruiting efforts, including job postings, interviews, and selection

·    Partner with hiring managers to understand workforce needs and staffing plans

·    Facilitate new hire onboarding and orientation, ensuring a smooth transition into the facility

 

HR Administration & Compliance

·    Administer HR policies, procedures, and programs in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations (FLSA, FMLA, ADA, OSHA, etc.)

·    Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS data

·    Support audits, reporting, and compliance training as required

 

Performance Management & Development

·    Assist leaders with performance management processes, coaching, and documentation

·    Support training initiatives, including compliance, safety, and leadership development

·    Track and report on HR metrics such as turnover, attendance, and employee engagement

 

Compensation, Benefits & Timekeeping

·    Support benefits administration, open enrollment, and employee inquiries

·    Assist with timekeeping, attendance tracking, and payroll-related questions

·    Help ensure consistent application of pay practices and policies

 

Qualifications

Required

·    Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience)

·    5+ years of HR Generalist experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment

·    Strong working knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices

·    Proven experience handling employee relations and working with frontline supervisors

·    Ability to work on-site and regularly engage with employees on the production floor

·    Ability to work at a high level with minimal supervision

·    Ability to obtain a government security clearance (U.S. citizenship required)

 

Preferred

·    Secret security clearance

·    Experience supporting hourly workforces

·    HR certification (SHRM-CP, PHR)

·    Experience with HRIS and timekeeping systems
