Contract Specialist - Federal Contracts
Washington, DC (Hybrid)
Ability to obtain a Public Trust@Orchard LLC seeks an experienced Federal Contract Specialist to support a recent contract award. The role is located in SE Washington, DC, and is a hybrid work opportunity. You will need to be a U.S.Citizen with the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.
As the Contract Specialist, you will;
- Independently review Procurement Request Packages to include the Statement of Work, Independent Cost Estimate, and other necessary support documentation
- Draft and Process high-dollar actions (over $2M)
- Develop Request for Quotes (RFQs) and Request for Proposals (RFPs)
- Interface with Industry and Internal Stakeholders about procurement-related issues
- Develop evaluation criteria
- Prepare and award Inter and Intra Agency Agreements
- Place calls against existing Blanket Purchase Agreements
- Oversee Technical Evaluation Committee meetings in coordination with the Contracting Officer
- Properly document Contract Files per agency directives
- Submit documents to the Office of General Counsel for legal sufficiency reviews
- Process actions considering FAR Parts 8, 12, 13, 15, 16, and 19 as appropriate; and
- Act as a liaison between the Program Office, Industry, and the Contracting
Your background will likely include the following;- U.S. Citizen
- Ability to obtain a Public Trust background check
- Years of Experience: 5 years as a Contract Specialist supporting Federal procurements
- Degree Requirement: Bachelor’s degree or years of experience that exceed minimum requirements
- Strong verbal and written communication skills (including presentation skills)
- Demonstrated ability to anticipate client needs, recognize, and act on opportunities to enhance client service and expand the scope of engagement
- The desire to work on a team in a collaborative culture and face directly with clients directly
- Experience and comfort with MS Office products
Preferred Technical Competencies:- Experience with PRISM
- Experience with MS Office Suite
- Business development efforts, proposal development
Compensation for this role is assessed based on experience and qualifications, with an anticipated salary range of $80-100K plus benefits.
