Description

R2S, a dynamic and fast-growing joint venture between Raytheon and Rafael, is seeking a proactive Contracts Manager to support both Defense Commercial Sales (DCS) and U.S> Federal Government prime contracts.  This position is a full time, remote position. Great matching candidates will have 6-12 years of working experience and a bachelor's degree.

About the Role

This is a hands-on role in a dynamic environment where processes are evolving, priorities shift quickly, and initiative is essential. 

The Contracts Manager will support the full contract lifecycle — from proposal development and negotiations through administration, compliance, and closeout — while working independently in a remote environment with limited direct oversight. This is a working role with no direct reports.  Must have experience administering contracts for a U.S. firm contracting with the U.S. Federal Government or foreign governments / contractors.

Key Responsibilities

Contract Lifecycle Support

·       Draft, review, and administer prime contracts (Federal and DCS).

·       Assist with negotiations and modifications to ensure compliance and alignment with business goals.

·       Maintain complete and accurate contract files in compliance with company and regulatory standards.

·       Input and manage contract awards, modifications, and related documentation in ERP systems, ensuring accuracy, compliance and timely processing to support acquisition requirements.

Proposal & Negotiation Support

·       Prepare contractual sections of proposals, including reps & certs, assumptions, and compliance reviews.

·       Support Truthful Cost or Pricing Data compliant proposals and assist in customer negotiations.

Compliance & Risk Management

·       Interpret and apply FAR, DFARS, and Defense Commercial Sales (DCS) contract structures, clauses, ITAR, EAR, and related regulations.

·       Monitor contract performance and recommend modifications as needed.

·       Support internal and external audits.

Program & Business Support

·       Provide contractual guidance to Program Management and leadership.

·       Build and maintain strong relationships with customers while protecting company interests.

·       Assist with subcontract flow-downs and consent requirements.


Qualifications

·       Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Law, International Relations, or related field.

·       Experience:

o   6-12 years of direct of progressive experience managing and administering U.S. Government and/or defense commercial sales contracts.

o   Knowledge of FAR, DFARS, agency supplements, and DCS contract structures.

o   Experience with commercial defense sales contracts (articles, technology, services).

o   Working knowledge of U.S. export control laws (ITAR/EAR).

o   Ability to obtain a Secret level security clearance.

 

·       Skills:

o   Strong drafting, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.

o   Excellent written and verbal communication, including interaction with executive leadership.

o   Ability to manage multiple complex contracts and proposals in a fast-paced environment.

o   Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and SharePoint (IFS experience a plus).
