@Orchard LLC is actively recruiting a Business Systems Analyst to support a major management consulting engagement, located in the Phoenix, AZ area. This is an on-site role, under a management consulting contract, at the client, a large banking institution.
As the Business Systems Analyst, you will have the following responsibilities.
- Conduct meetings, interviews, and workshops with stakeholders to elicit business requirements.
- Document functional and non-functional requirements clearly and concisely.
- Create Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), Functional Specifications, User Stories, and Use Cases.
- Analyze current business processes to identify inefficiencies and improvement opportunities.
- Model "as-is" and "to-be" processes using tools like flowcharts, design docs, and Visio.
- Recommend process improvements or automation opportunities.
- Act as the bridge between business users and IT/development teams.
- Facilitate communication and ensure alignment of expectations and deliverables.
- Manage and prioritize stakeholder needs and concerns.
- Analyze data to support business decisions and validate requirements and work with reporting tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, SQL) to generate insights.
- Identify data gaps and ensure data integrity in reporting.
Your education and background will include.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or a relevant field.
- Be able to demonstrate an agile mindset and have 5+ years of hands-on experience as a BSA.
- Strong understanding of business processes and workflows.
- Should be able to document and manage functional and non-functional requirements and analyze and map current and future state business processes.
- Be able to develop clear documentation, including Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), Functional Specifications (FS), Use Cases, and User Stories.
- Be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Visio, Power BI, and Tableau.
- Have an understanding of SQL, Databases, APIs, system integrations, data modeling, and architecture.
- Have Stakeholder engagement and presentation skills and the ability to translate technical requirements into business language (and vice versa).
- Must have strong written and verbal communication and analytical skills.
Compensation: Compensation ranges are determined by several factors, including skill set, experience, licensure and certifications, and location. The anticipated range for a base salary for this role is between $63-139K. There may be some flexibility for exceptionally qualified individuals.
