Custom Learning Designs has partnered with Hueman to find a Sr. Account Executive to join the Client Services - Project Management Team.
The CLD Account Executive (AE) is part of the Client Service – Project Management Team. The AE cultivates and sustains long-term relationships with strategic clients with the goal of retaining and growing the account. The AE leverages their industry experience and serves as a consultant and trusted business advisor to the client. The AE stays abreast of new industry developments and changing business trends. The AE uses their knowledge of the industry, CLD, and the client to influence client interactions and relationships to achieve annual strategic account goals. In addition, the AE ensures that ongoing projects are successful by working closely with the CLD project manager and project team(s) to ensure operations run smoothly and lead to client satisfaction.
Custom Learning Designs (CLD) is a leading provider of custom training solutions for pharmaceutical and life sciences companies. At CLD, we support our customers in developing customized training for their commercial sales teams, medical teams (MSLs), patients, and physicians.
Key Responsibilities:Strategic Account Management:
- Understand client’s business strategy and training objectives and advise both client and CLD on how to achieve these objectives
- Identify and communicate any concerns, at-risk elements, and buy-in needed to achieve overall timelines and project goals
- Communicate and reinforce the value of CLD’s products and services and how CLD can help the client’s strategic goals.
- Identify potential business development opportunities within existing accounts and work with sales to try to win these opportunities, including scope increases, learning system renewals, workshops etc.
- Participate in strategic sales pitch presentations describing the AE role and how the AE and Project Manager work together to provide exemplary service.
- Mentor CLD Project Managers of strategic clients and provide guidance when needed in partnership with their manager
- Provide strategic consulting and assistance to clients as needed for leadership presentations and meetings, or obtaining marketing buy-in and cooperation.
- Meet occasionally face-to-face or virtually with strategic customers to further build relationships, assess customer satisfaction and make recommendations
- Develop and maintain a detailed knowledge base of client contacts
- Collect and communicate competitor intelligence gleaned from client conversations and trade show attendance
- Cultivate prospects and secure introductions to potential clients within new divisions of assigned accounts.
- Stay current by attending industry events and reading industry websites and journals
Project Management and Operations:
- Develop a strong working knowledge of CLDs internal project operations, workflows, and delivery processes to effectively support client engagements.
- Maintain a strong understanding of project management fundamentals (scope, schedule, budget, risks) to improve forecasting and client satisfaction.
- Lead development of new statements of work or increases in scope for assigned accounts. Work in collaboration with project management, resourcing, and operations to ensure accuracy.
- When needed, manage projects from start to completion, ensuring alignment with scope and delivery standards.
- Collaborate with Project Managers on project planning efforts, including milestone tracking, risk identification, and proactive communication to internal and external stakeholders.
Job Qualifications:· 5+ years of experience in account management, client services, or business development (experience in pharma or healthcare preferred)
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a consultative and proactive approach
· Proven ability to manage complex relationships and influence strategic outcomes
· Comfortable presenting to senior leadership and facilitating discussions
· Self-motivated, curious, and industry-savvy
· Willingness to travel for client meetings and industry events
