What You’ll Do:
Join Accupac as a Compounding Supervisor and lead a dynamic team in our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility. In this pivotal leadership role, you'll oversee all compounding department operations while ensuring strict adherence to FDA cGMP standards and customer specifications. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced manufacturing professional to grow into a strategic leadership position where your decisions directly impact product quality, team performance, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and coordinate all compounding department activities, including developing weekly schedules, creating and updating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and documenting departmental training sessions
- Enforce strict compliance with FDA cGMP regulations, company SOPs, and customer specifications across all operations
- Lead the recruitment, interviewing, and onboarding of new compounding department personnel
- Conduct performance evaluations and support disciplinary actions while fostering a culture of continuous improvement
- Develop and execute training programs that build team capabilities and drive organizational excellence
- Create and manage weekly production schedules that optimize resource allocation and meet departmental requirements
- Audit manufacturing personnel performance to ensure adherence to customer specifications and established procedures
- Conduct safety audits on raw material handling and equipment usage to maintain a secure work environment
- Perform routine raw material inventory audits to ensure accurate record-keeping and accountability
- Audit completed batches for compliance and verify proper documentation procedures
- Coordinate and direct calibration of departmental equipment to maintain operational precision
- Provide hands-on support to team members in executing assigned tasks and overcoming operational challenges
- Troubleshoot and resolve departmental issues using analytical and practical problem-solving approaches
- Develop, review, and edit new or revised company SOPs to reflect best practices and regulatory requirements
- Evaluate new projects for potential obstacles and recommend solutions to enhance effectiveness and efficiency
- Collaborate directly with potential and existing customers on new and ongoing projects
- Communicate project status updates to project management and leadership teams
- Coordinate preventative maintenance and repair activities to minimize downtime
- Lead product nonconformance investigations, document findings, and implement corrective actions
- Identify opportunities to reduce labor costs and improve compounding efficiency
- Provide management with product yield information and performance metrics for budgeting and planning purposes
- Communicate effectively with all organizational levels to ensure alignment and transparency
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support organizational goals
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience working in a compounding department within a manufacturing facility
- Proven management and people leadership skills with demonstrated success in supervising teams
- Excellent proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English
- Strong reading comprehension skills with the ability to understand complex technical documentation
- Ability to prepare reports, training records, and operational manuals
- Proficiency in basic mathematical functions including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages
- Good mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting abilities
- Safe operation of forklifts or pallet movers
- Self-motivated with the ability to derive satisfaction from successful project completion
- Formal training or certification as a Chemweigh Technician and/or Compounder
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, schedules, and overtime as required by manufacturing demands
- Working knowledge of standard office software packages including word processing and spreadsheet applications
- Thorough working knowledge of FDA Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) as applied to compounding operations
- Ability to maintain a neat, professional appearance at all times
- Capacity to conduct responsibilities with professionalism, confidence, and maturity
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with quality management systems and regulatory compliance documentation
- Background in process improvement methodologies or lean manufacturing
- Previous experience in a supervisory or team lead capacity
- Familiarity with manufacturing execution systems (MES) or enterprise resource planning (ERP) software
- Certification in relevant manufacturing or quality disciplines
