Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) 

V-Tech Solutions is seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities through safe medication administration, nursing support, health monitoring, and accurate documentation. The LPN will work under the supervision of an RN and play an important role in ensuring quality healthcare and medication management across community-based programs. 

Position Summary 

The LPN will primarily be responsible for safe and accurate medication administration and documentation within the Community Support Services Program. The ideal candidate will have strong critical-thinking and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while collaborating with RNs, physicians, program staff, and interdisciplinary teams. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Administer medications at multiple residential sites and day programs. 

  • Perform nursing assessments as needed. 

  • Monitor individuals' overall health during home and community visits. 

  • Update Medication Administration Records (MARs) based on physician orders. 

  • Review MARs for accuracy, completeness, and required signatures. 

  • Review medication refill orders and deliver medications to program locations as needed. 

  • Prepare and distribute monthly MARs and medications. 

  • Schedule medical appointments and prepare specialty clinic consultations as recommended by physicians. 

  • Provide nursing coverage for the day program as needed. 

  • Participate in Interdisciplinary Team meetings as required. 

  • Maintain accurate and compliant nursing and medication documentation. 

Required Qualifications 

  • Diploma or certificate from a two-year college or technical school in Nursing. 

  • Active LPN license in Maryland and the District of Columbia. 

  • Current CPR/First Aid certification. 

  • Valid driver's license and reliable personal vehicle. 

  • Strong attention to detail, organization, communication, and clinical judgment. 

  • Ability to travel between program locations.

Schedule & Location 

  • Employment Type: Full-time 

  • Schedule: Monday–Friday with flexible hours 

  • Shifts: 9:00 AM–5:00 PM or 12:00 PM–8:00 PM 

  • Weekend Requirement: One weekend per month 

  • Office: Downtown Silver Spring, Maryland 

  • Service Area: Washington, DC, Prince George’s County, and Montgomery County 

  • Travel: Regular travel between program locations required. 

Compensation 

  • $29.00 per hour 

  • Mileage reimbursement provided. 

Additional Requirement 

Candidates must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 prior to their first day of employment.
