Responsibilities:
· Perform quality assurance and quality control oversight for construction activities across multiple active project sites
· Review construction documents, drawings, and specifications to verify compliance with project requirements
· Conduct field inspections and audits to ensure adherence to quality standards, safety regulations, and contract documents
· Monitor construction activities to ensure work is performed in accordance with approved plans and applicable regulatory standards
· Identify deficiencies and non-conformance issues, document findings, and track corrective actions through resolution
· Collaborate with project managers, engineers, contractors, and inspectors to resolve quality-related issues
· Prepare and maintain QA/QC documentation, reports, and logs for project records and client reporting
· Support the development and implementation of quality control procedures and inspection plans
· Analyze quality trends and recommend continuous improvement measures to enhance project delivery
· Participate in project meetings and provide quality-related updates and risk identification
Requirements:
· Minimum 5+ years of experience in construction engineering, QA/QC, or quality management
· Proven experience working on utilities, water, or wastewater infrastructure projects (required)
· Professional Engineer (PE) license in Maryland and/or Virginia (preferred)
· Completion or ability to obtain Construction Quality Management for Contractors (CQM-C) certification
· Experience working with DC Water, municipal utilities, or similar public agencies
· Familiarity with USACE/NAVFAC quality programs or similar frameworks
· Strong understanding of:
- Construction processes and sequencing
- Quality assurance methodologies and standards
- Regulatory compliance within public infrastructure projects
· Experience performing field inspections and construction quality oversight
· Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and contract documents
· Excellent attention to detail and strong documentation skills
· Strong communication and collaboration skills across multidisciplinary teams
Compensation:
Salary range: $140,000 - $182,000/yearly (dependent on years of experience, competence, travel requirements)
